Klippan was founded in 1879 and is a family business that has been passed down through generations. Today, the fourth and fifth generations work side by side to develop the company and its product range, ensuring it continues to meet consumer demands in terms of both design and quality.

Klippan Yllefabrik was founded in Klippan, southern Sweden, where all products were manufactured for many years. Today, however, production has moved to Latvia, where Klippan has its own factory. This allows them to ensure that every single product offered is always of the highest quality.

Klippan's blankets are known for their high quality, as well as the fine colours and patterns that characterise them. Additionally, Klippan operates on a sustainability principle, aiming to use natural and organic materials whenever possible. The timeless designs and high quality also help ensure that the blankets can be used for a long time. In connection with their 140th anniversary in 2019, Klippan Yllefabrik also launched a collection made from recycled wool, which is a waste material from their own production.

Klippan's blankets are made from either 100% lamb's wool or a blend of merino wool and lamb's wool. They provide warmth on cool days and are also a decorative addition to the home. Klippan collaborates with a number of different designers who have been given the opportunity to create their very own designs, so you can choose from several different colours and patterns, ensuring you get a blanket that best suits your existing decor.

Wool has a natural oil content, which helps ensure that dirt stays on the surface. Therefore, it is not necessary to wash your Klippan blanket very often. Instead, you can often simply air it out, preferably when the air is humid. Should a stain appear on your Klippan blanket, it can usually be removed with a damp cloth. It is advisable to do this as quickly as possible so that the dirt does not sink into the wool.
